Lego Spike Robotics for Kids
About the Program
Kids can build their own creations or follow along with one of the 45-minute guided lessons using the LEGO® SPIKE™ App (devices will be provided). This playful, story-driven experience is part of the LEGO Learning System and helps kids explore STEAM concepts while supporting literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Along the way, they’ll dive into the engineering design process—defining problems, brainstorming solutions, and testing and improving their prototypes. Kids will also be introduced to the basics of coding through a Scratch-based platform designed with beginners in mind.

Curious about 3D printing? In this hands-on introductory program, tweens will learn how a 3D printer works and get a chance to design and print their very own creation. Using beginner-friendly software, participants will explore the basics of 3D modeling, bring their ideas to life, and see the printing process in action. No experience needed—just bring your creativity!
Engineering Science Quest: STEM Explorers Club

Dive into the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with the Waterloo Engineering Outreach ESQ Community Team in this 4-week hands-on program! Unleash your creativity as you explore different technology, design innovative solutions to unique problems, and make lasting connections with fellow enthusiasts of STEM.
Felt Collage
About the Program
Create your own felt collage and bring your ideas to life in this hands-on art program. Participants will use colourful felt to design a one-of-a-kind scene—whether it’s a landscape, a fun pattern, or something entirely from your imagination. All supplies are provided, and you’ll head home with your finished piece of art. No experience needed—just come ready to get creative.

Nailed It! Art Night
About the Program
Create a one-of-a-kind piece of string nail art using string, nails, and a wooden board in this hands-on program for tweens. Participants will be guided through the steps and offered safety tips along the way. Tweens can design their own pattern and take home their finished artwork at the end of the program. This activity involves the use of real tools and encourages safe, supervised risky play. All materials and tools will be provided.

Join us for a magical time full of fun and fairy-tale flair! We'll listen to some of your favorite princess songs while we play themed games, sip delicious fruit-based tea, and create a fancy craft to take home. We’ll wrap up the fun with a special storytime fit for royalty. Come dressed as your favorite princess—or just bring your sparkle and imagination.
