About the Program
Connect with your Summer Reading Club Team for special pop-up activities and crafts each week based on the Summer Reading Club theme of the week.
Lego Spike Robotics
About the Program
Kids can build their own creations or follow along with one of the 45-minute guided lessons using the LEGO® SPIKE™ App (devices will be provided). This playful, story-driven experience is part of the LEGO Learning System and helps kids explore STEAM concepts while supporting literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Along the way, they’ll dive into the engineering design process—defining problems, brainstorming solutions, and testing and improving their prototypes. Kids will also be introduced to the basics of coding through a Scratch-based platform designed with beginners in mind.
Princess Tea Party
About the Program
Join us for a magical time full of fun and fairy-tale flair! We'll listen to some of your favorite princess songs while we play themed games, sip delicious fruit-based tea, and create a fancy craft to take home. We’ll wrap up the fun with a special storytime fit for royalty. Come dressed as your favorite princess—or just bring your sparkle and imagination.

Encourage a love of reading with this fun, interactive literacy program. Participants will pair up with a volunteer literacy tutor for guided reading sessions followed by language games and activities with the group.

Participants will learn the basics of this versatile fiber art, which uses simple knotting techniques to create all kinds of cool designs. We’ll use a beginner-friendly pattern and show you how to turn cord into something beautiful. No experience needed, and all materials are provided.
Make and Play: Librarygrams Word Game

Love Appleletters or Bananagrams? Get ready to put your word skills to the test with Make Your Own Crossword to Go! In this creative program, you’ll design your very own word game to take home and play with family and friends. It’s a fun way to flex your vocabulary and puzzle-making skills—and you’ll leave with a personalized game that’s all yours. All materials will be provided.
