Canva Poster Design
About the Program
Up-and-coming artists and budding designers are invited to join this creative program for tweens! We'll use Canva to create posters to print and take home. No previous work with Canva is required; we'll go over the basic skills in the program. All materials provided.
Reading Buddies
About the Program
Encourage a love of reading with this fun, interactive literacy program. Participants will pair up with a volunteer literacy tutor for guided reading sessions followed by language games and activities with the group.
Art and STEM Club
About the Program
Explore the exciting connections between art and STEM in this creative, hands-on program. Each session will feature a different theme, such as art and science, art and technology, or art and engineering, giving participants the chance to discover how creativity and innovation work together. Every program date includes a unique craft or project inspired by the day's theme.

Make Your Own Marble Maze
About the Program
Celebrate Science Literacy Week by designing and building your own marble maze! Combining STEAM concepts with game and toy design, this hands-on program challenges participants to use problem solving, logic, spatial reasoning, and creativity to create a maze full of twists, turns, dead ends, alternate routes, and tricky traps. Plan your course, decorate your design, and put it to the test by trying out other participants' mazes. This fun and engaging challenge is sure to stretch your brain and spark your imagination.

Join us for a relaxed and welcoming monthly hangout for 2SLGBTQIA+ tweens. This is a space to be creative, connect with others, and celebrate everyday pride together!

Mario Kart Tournament
About the Program
Start your engines! In this Nintendo-inspired program, participants will play against other attendees in Mario Kart 8 for Nintendo Switch. When participants are not racing during their allotted time, there will be fun activity stations: pixel coloring, creating license plates, and playing a ring toss style game of tire toss. All racers receive a pit crew badge upon entry to the race track!

Budding tween artists are invited to join us for this 3-part series, where you get to fill our gallery space with your art...with a twist!
Ukulele Basics
About the Program
Discover the joy of the ukulele in this beginner-friendly program. Learn the basics of playing chords, simple strumming patterns, and a few easy songs to get you started. No experience needed—just enthusiasm and curiosity. Participants may bring their own ukulele or borrow one with a library card.
