Kids will enjoy creating fun gadgets, solving creative science problems, and experimenting with tech tools and robots - including Ozobots, Cubelets, and LEGO Spike Robotics. Machines in Motion: Propulsion Physics
About the Program
It’s not rocket science...it’s propulsion physics! Momentum, kinetic energy, Newton’s Second Law of Motion, and the science of simple machines that move are at the heart of this program for Tweens. Participants will have the chance to visit a variety of stations and learn about propulsion science by making a Copter Launcher, a Mini Spinner, and a Rocket Balloon, while also having a chance to do a Simple Machines Seek and Find.
Outer Space Creations
About the Program
Blast off into a universe of discovery! Learn how humans explore the vast universe, from rockets to rovers and beyond. Then put your imagination to work by designing your very own paper planet to take home—and finish the adventure by launching a paper rocket with our rocket launcher. It’s a hands-on space experience that’s out of this world!

Play as a hummingbird, butterfly, or bee as you gather resources, avoid real-world threats, and navigate the challenges pollinators face every day. This fun, interactive experience helps kids understand the important roles different pollinators play in our ecosystem—all through hands-on, active gameplay that’s perfect for nature lovers and kids who like to move.

Encourage a love of reading with this fun, interactive literacy program. Participants will pair up with a volunteer literacy tutor for guided reading sessions followed by language games and activities with the group.
Create Your Own Eraser
About the Program
Have fun with a special kind of clay as you mold and shape custom erasers designed entirely by you. While your creations cure during the program, enjoy word searches and other fun games. Please note that the program begins with a tutorial; participants who arrive more than ten minutes late without notice may not be permitted entry.
