We’re making some exciting changes at our Eastside Branch to improve how our spaces work for you. Starting May 25, 2026, we’ll be reorganizing parts of the library to better support how our community uses technology, creativity, and space.
While this isn’t traditional construction, it is a significant update – and you may notice some temporary disruptions while work is underway.
What’s changing?
Our current Gamerspace will be transformed into a dedicated Makerspace, bringing together existing equipment and introducing some new tools in one central location. This will make it easier to find, access, and use all of our maker resources in one place.
We’re also moving public computers onto the main floor and upgrading our printing area, including improvements like a height‑adjustable station to make printing more accessible for everyone.
What to Expect During This Time
- Work will begin starting May 25, 2026
- Printing and computers will be unavailable for approximately 3 days to 1 week
- Maker equipment will be unavailable for about 2 weeks while the new Makerspace is set up
You may also notice the space is a bit louder or busier than usual as we move equipment and make updates.
We appreciate your patience as we make these improvements. Our goal is to create a space that works better for everyone – and we’re excited for you to see what’s coming next.
