We Want Your Feedback
As Waterloo Public Library celebrates its 150th anniversary, we think it’s the perfect moment to look ahead and imagine what’s next.
Back in 1966, the library moved from the Carnegie Library to what is now our current Main Library location. At the time, Waterloo was a city of 38,000 people, and the University of Waterloo was just nine years old. The building was expanded in 1988, but it hasn’t had a major renovation since then. A lot has changed in our community over the years and today, our growing and evolving city needs a main library that reflects how we live, learn, and connect now.
In partnership with the City of Waterloo, we’re starting a feasibility study to explore what a revitalized Main Library could look like. This process will help us understand what’s possible and, most importantly, what our community wants and needs.
By filling out this survey, you’re helping shape the future of the Main Library. Your feedback will guide how the library can best serve Waterloo through welcoming spaces, meaningful services, and its role as a vibrant public place for everyone.
