A Message From Our CEO

To our Waterloo community:

We stand in support of our Black customers, colleagues, family and friends. We stand against racial discrimination of any kind.

Along with libraries across Canada, WPL shows our strong commitment to ending racism by supporting the Canadian Urban Libraries Council Statement on Race & Social Equity.

This statement reflects our intent as a library to be a safe, equitable and diverse space where all are welcome.

We’ve compiled resources on Black Lives Matter, offering a starting point for conversations about racism and will continue to provide additional information as well. A critical role of the library is to help people find the resources they need to better educate themselves on topics like racism, racial violence and the struggle for equity. We are here to enhance and support the learning in any way we can.

Please don't hesitate to contact us at askus@wpl.ca or by phone at 519-886-1310 and we can help you find what you need.
