How to Use
Sending a Print to the Large Format Printer
*PNG files are recommended for resizing; PDF files must be set to the final print size before printing.
- Speak to staff. They will turn on the printer so it has time to warm up and get ready before you send your print.
- Log on to a WPL public computer using a valid WPL library card.
- Access your file to print and name it using your first name. If you have additional prints, use your name and a unique number beside your name (ex. Kim1, Kim2).
- Open the HP Click software. A shortcut to HP Click is on the Desktop, or can be found in the Windows Menu.
- Drag and drop your file in to the HP Click software OR click on “select a file” section and navigate to your file and select it to upload it to the software.
- A preview of your print will appear on the screen. In the top left corner the print size is indicated below the thumbnail of your print. If you want your print to come out in a different size, click on the downwards-pointing arrow. You can specify to have your print “Fit to Landscape” or “Print to Portrait” which makes the print fit to the paper size. Alternatively, you can specify custom dimensions in the two number boxes.
- When you’re ready, press the print button and wait. Once your print is successfully sent to the printer it will disappear from HP Click.
- Speak to staff to let them know you sent a print. They will then release it at the printer. Staff will provide you with a total cost AFTER the print is complete and you can pay them at the main service point via cash, debit or credit.
Printed instruction sheets are also available with the machine when you arrive at the library.
