Purchase Suggestions

Before submitting a recommendation, please check our online catalogue to make sure that we do not already own the title you are requesting. Our amazing staff can help you search for titles or find a variety of materials on a topic anytime, in library or via hello@wpl.ca.  

All suggestions are considered based on our Collection Development Policy, endeavoring to maintain a collection that interests our community with its diverse topics, genres and balanced perspectives, as well as space considerations. We prioritize selecting materials from library book vendors and local booksellers.  

We receive a high number of requests. Some topics are considered quarterly, not on a case-by-case basis. Please know that we review all submissions, but it is not possible to add all items to the collection. At times requests may be referred to our Interlibrary Loan service, or we may offer alternate title suggestions.  

Please note that there is a limit of 5 requests per customer per month.
