Welcome to Waterloo Public Library! WPL is comprised of three Branches. 

Select the Branch (below) you are interested in to learn its hours.

Bicycle racks are available at the Main Library, the McCormick Branch and the Harper Branch.

Parking

Parking is available at all three libraries in Waterloo.  Paid parking is in effect at the Main Library.  Parking is FREE at the McCormick Branch and the John M. Harper Branch. 

All Library parking is controlled by the City of Waterloo. Parking questions and concerns should be directed to:

Returns – After Hours

Riding the Bus to WPL?

The following bus routes travel near the Main Library:

  • #5 Erb West / Lancaster Eastbridge#7 C, D, E
  • #35 (which becomes #5 when it leaves the UpTown) and the iXpress both travel to UpTown Waterloo

The following bus routes travel near the John M. Harper Branch:

  • Grand River Transit’s #13 has a bus stop right across the street from Harper, at Laurelwood and Fischer-Hallman.
  • GRT’s 201 iExpress also has a stop at Fischer-Hallman and Columbia, for those willing to walk a couple of blocks.

The following bus routes travel near the McCormick Branch:

  • #9 Lakeshore

There is also the new iXpress schedule with stops at Albert McCormick Community Centre and in UpTown Waterloo. Visit Grand River Transit’s website at http://www.grt.ca/ for all bus schedules.
