Study Spaces

From quiet areas for solo study to collaborative zones and bookable study rooms for group work, we offer a range of options to accommodate diverse study preferences and needs.

Booking and Using a Study Room

Bookable study rooms are available at the John M. Harper Branch, Eastside Branch and Main Library.

  • A WPL library card is required to book a study room.
  • Study room reservations can be made up to 2 days in advance for up to 3 hours per day.
  • Bookings will be held for 10 minutes past the reservation start time.
  • No charge study rooms are for use by non-commercial groups, individual study, English language learning and community-based literacy agencies. For-profit groups, including private tutors, must rent space.

Main Library

The Main Library offers an array of study and work areas throughout the building. You’ll find study carrels and spacious study tables on the upper level, along with several inviting lounge areas ideal for reading, writing or focused work.

The Main Library also offers one bookable study room that can accommodate up to six people.

John M. Harper Branch

The John M. Harper Branch has a spacious quiet zone with numerous tables, plus a laptop bar with ample power outlets for convenient laptop use and device charging. 

There are also three bookable study rooms available. The larger study room accommodates up to seven people, while the two smaller rooms accommodate up to three people.

Eastside Branch

The Eastside Branch has many seating areas with tables and chairs as well as a “Bring Your Own Device Bar” where you can study and work. This space is equipped with ample power outlets for convenient laptop use and device charging.

There are also two bookable study rooms available. These study rooms can accommodate up to four people each.
