Pop-up Kids area at the Main Library

Due to mechanical upgrades taking place at the Main Library, there will be service disruptions until June 2019.

The Children's Department at the Main Library is temporarily CLOSED. We hope customers will enjoy exploring our Children's Pop-Up Library in the Dupont Street lobby which is filled with awesome new books, DVDS & more for you to grab n’ go.

Borrow a museum pass the same way you borrow material from the library.

THEMUSEUM

THEMUSEUM pass offers standard admission for up to two (2) adults and up to four (4) children.

Passes are not valid for ticketed events, camps or workshops.

The passes have a 7 day loan period. Holds are available but renewals are not. There is a $0.30 per day overdue fine.

Mini Comic Con at the Library

Fandom takes over Waterloo Public Library in our own mini comic-con.

We have activities with all of your favourite characters and a tonne of special guests. 

Participants are welcome to come in costume for the full comic-con experience!

Each year the Ontario Library Association nominates great Canadian titles for every grade level. After student voting in April, awards are presented to the winning authors at special Festival of Trees events across Ontario. 2019 marks the 2nd time that Waterloo Region has been selected as a host and we couldn’t be happier!
