The Green Lab
Take a good look at the artificial turf fields on either side of you. Do they look like rain barrels? Well they are! Every time it rains, the rainwater trickles down through the gravel underneath the turf, and is collected below. Then, when it’s dry, the water is pumped out and used to water the 4 natural grass fields you can see further out. The system is big enough to hold the water from 4 Olympic sized swimming pools.

Other features of the Green Lab include a living roof on top of the washroom building, and a solar array. For more information, you can check out the information boards on both sides of the washroom building.
