How to Play:
Family Nature Mini-Bingo

Grab your family and a smartphone or two to play BINGO in RIM Park!

The Location

You can play Family Nature Mini-Bingo anywhere, but all the specimens listed as bingo items were found at a specific place in RIM Park, near where our new Eastside Branch is being built!

Park at the Manulife Sportsplex, or take the 202 bus. Cross University Ave at the marked crosswalk, and you're ready to begin! The map shows the 3 areas specimens were identified in: The Approach in orange, the Forest Edge in green, and the Forest Interior in magenta.

Starting the Game

Use your data enabled smartphone to open the BINGO webpage. It will automatically generate a 3x3 mini playing card for you. You can also make a new card anytime, by pressing the NEW CARD button.

Tap any square on your card to see a larger image of the specimen, and some more information. You can also reveal where it was spotted (The Approach, The Forest Edge, or the Forest Interior) by tapping where indicated.

Your Objective

Your objective is to find the pictured specimens. When you do so, tap MARK AS FOUND to check off the specimen on your BINGO sheet. You can also remove a found marker if needed.

You can set your own rules for this game. A BINGO can be a single row, or aim to fill the whole card. It's up to you!

Challenge Others in your Group

Using multiple phones will allow you to challenge those in your group. Each phone will get a unique playing card, and you can decide between yourselves what the final goal will be. Who will get BINGO first?
