NEW! NaNoWriMo
Ever wanted to write a bestselling novel? Want to do it in a month? Join us for NaNoWriMo.
As a program with over 200,000 participants, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a world-wide nonprofit event that encourages kids and adults to tackle the challenge of writing a novel. Waterloo Public Library is proud to act as a host location for aspiring writers. What do you have to do? Simply write a 50,000 word novel, from scratch in one month…by midnight November 30.
We are offering a dedicated working space twice a week at the Main library and once a week at the John M. Harper branch, with laptop plugins, catalogue access, companionship, sounding boards and refreshments. Visit the website, (http://www.nanowrimo.org), for more information and to register an account for pep talks, word count scoreboards, NaNoToons and more. Everyone is welcome!
