Robert Jordan

Robert Jordan was born in South Carolina in 1948. At age 4 he taught himself to read. By age 5 he was reading Jules Verne and Mark Twain. He graduated from college with a degree in physics and served in two tours to Vietman with the US Army where he received a number of decorations and commendations. He began writing in 1977 and will continue, as he says, until they nail shut his coffin. Robert Jordan died in 2007.
