Minette Walters

Born in Hertfordshire, England, Walters attended Durham University where she earned a degree in French. Following university she had jobs as a secretary, a barmaid, and a magazine sub-editor. In 1987, at the age of 37, Walters began to write. Her first novel, The Ice House, took two years to write and was finally published in 1992. Since then, each novel written has been an award- winner with many adapted for television by the BBC.
