LaVyrle Spencer

When Spencer was in her 30’s and working as a teacher’s aid, she began writing her first book. This book, The Fulfillment, was published in 1979. Since then, many of her titles have been best sellers and a number were made into TV movies. Condensed versions have appeared in Readers Digest and Good Housekeeping magazines. Much to the disappointment of her legions of fans, LaVyrle Spencer retired from writing in 1997. She and her husband of over 40 years, Dan, live in a beautiful Victorian home in Minnesota.
