John Sandford
John Roswell Camp (a.k.a. John Sandford) was born in Iowa in 1944. In 1966 he graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in American Studies. He joined the army, working for the base’s newspaper. During the Vietnam War he was stationed in Korea. After the war, he returned to school, got a degree in journalism and became a Pulitzer-prize reporter. His first book, The Fool’s Run, was published in 1989.
