Main Library

Paid parking at the Main Library is available in two lots, one located on Dupont Street and the other on Albert Street.

NOTE:  Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm library customers may not park in the “D” permit areas.  Customers parking in the “D” permit areas during those time periods may receive a ticket from a City of Waterloo bylaw officer.

Albert Street Lot

You must display a Pay & Display ticket on the dashboard of your vehicle Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.  Customers may purchase multiple hours at one time. Please read the instructions carefully to make sure you are paying the correct amount of money. 

The minimum purchase of time at the Pay & Display is $0.50. 

The cost of 1 hour of parking is $2.50.

Dupont Street Lot

A Pay and Display machine is located beside the stone wall/column in the middle of the sheltered parking area.

You must display a Pay & Display ticket on the dashboard of your vehicle Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Customers may purchase multiple hours at one time. Please read the instructions carefully to make sure you are paying the correct amount of money. 

The minimum purchase of time at the Pay & Display is $0.50.

The cost of 1 hour of parking is $2.50.

NEW! After 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and all day on Saturday and Sunday, customers may park in the “D” permit areas free of charge.

McCormick Branch

Parking at the McCormick Branch is free.

John M. Harper Branch

Parking at the Harper Branch is free.

Barrier-Free Parking Spots

Parking for the handicapped is available free of charge at all times in all Library parking lots. Designated handicapped spaces are located adjacent to each Library entrance.
