Family Language Kits
The Children’s Department at the Main Library has Family Language Kits. The McCormick Branch has a smaller selection of these kits. Family Language Kits help families who are learning English to read together and to become familiar with the library.
Each Family Language Kit has dual language books which are written in English and another language, a picture dictionary, puppets and a “Teach me English” audio kit.
Family Language Kits are available in the following languages:

- Portuguese
- Romanian
- Russian

- Spanish
- Urdu
- Vietnamese
Kits may be borrowed on a 3-week loan; 1 kit per library card; no holds; 1 renewal.
