Blogs & More @ WPL

young_man_using_laptopBlogs

A blog, short for weblog, is an online journal or newsletter which typically consists of short, frequently updated stories with links to news items and web sites. Blogs are popular for all ages and are very user- friendly.

WPL Reads

WPL Reads is a blog where Waterloo Public Library staff post what they’re reading and suggest good reads. New reads. We hope to introduce you to some new titles and authors, or perhaps to reacquaint you with an old favourite.

WPL Book Clubs

You are welcome to attend meetings of our book clubs in person or, just share thoughts online about the books we are reading.

Waterloo Reads

Each October, WPL hosts  “Waterloo Reads” to highlight the ten Evergreen-nominated books. Special guests took turns championing the 10 books, with attendees voting for their favourite at the end of the evening. Visit the blog to learn more.

After Hours @ The Library

Our first signature fundraiser, After Hours @ The Library will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Main Library (35 Albert Street, Waterloo) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

After Hours @ The Library will be a dynamic, inspirational evening celebrating local speakers who will be sharing anecdotes and stories from their extraordinary life experiences. Add in delicious canapés from local restaurants, cocktails, & raffle prizes and you’ve got yourself an evening to remember!

At WPL, we are social!
