The Federation of Ontario Public Libraries (FOPL) and the Ontario Library Association (OLA) submitted a proposal to the Ontario Government's "Budget Talks" to improve broadband access in Ontario. Their proposal, to have the government invest in Internet access in libraries in rural, northern and indigenous communities, was chosen to move to the next phase of public voting.
The Ontario Government will spend $3 million on eight ideas. Help move FOPL and OLA's proposal to the funding phase by voting online.
Voting ends February 23, 2017.
