General Donations for WPL

Waterloo Public Library is a registered charitable institution and issues tax receipts for donations over ten dollars. Donations in cash and by cheque are accepted. The Main Library also accepts donations by Interac.

Membership Donations

Library membership is free for anyone residing in Waterloo.

Under WPL’s reciprocal borrowing program, members of the Kitchener, Cambridge, Region of Waterloo, Brant County and Hamilton Region public library systems can also join WPL for free upon presentation of an active library card from their home system.

Memberships are renewed once a year with a quick confirmation of your personal information.

Customers are encouraged to make a voluntary donation at the time of membership application and renewal. Tax receipts are issued for donations of ten dollars and up.
