Identification

The following pieces of identification are accepted when applying for a members at WPL:

• Current driver’s license with local address
• Recent utility bill that verifies that the customer lives at their address, and pays for phone, gas, hydro, cable etc.*
• Tax bill
• Recent lease or rent receipt
• A health card with current address on the back can be accepted if the customer voluntarily show this form of identification

Any other mail cannot be accepted because it does not prove the customer currently is living at this address.

*The customer MUST also produce a second piece of identification with their name along with their utility bill, tax bill, or rent receipt

Students (age 13 to 18) without address verification

A student card or bus pass with the student’s name and picture on it can be used for verification, if the address can be verified in the telephone book.

If the student (age 13 to 18) is accompanied by their parent, the parent can show their identification (ie. driver’s license) to confirm address
